It was a rejuvenating experience to meet our AI Lab community members in Bengaluru last Saturday (9th Apr ’22) at WeWork Bellandur. It was great to meet folks face to face after a gap of 2 years.
This meetup started with AI Lab team lead, Shubha M, presenting a deep review of Attention models in context of GRU Encoder-Decoder models. Attention refers to the model paying attention to select parts of the visual space for better understanding. This gives better accuracy for Seq to Seq models such as Neural Machine Translation.
Next came Shreeyash Pawar, a senior Vision and MLOps expert, presenting an extensive session on MLOps including its various aspects such as ML pipelines, Key outcomes, Development vs Deployment aspects, Feature Pipelines etc. The basic point here is MLOps is much more than just algorithms and ML training, there is a host of steps before and after that to achieve desirable business outcomes from AI.

Finally, Anshumaan Dash, a specialist in advanced Computer Vision, presented detailed session on various Image AI use cases which include OCR, Image Captioning, Activity Recognition, Pose Estimation, Super Resolution and many many more. Anshumaan presented details of Super Resolution with various CNN architectures including SRCNN, FSRCNN, ESPCN, SRGAN, IMDN etc. Super Resolution, of course, refers to recovering high-resolution images from low-resolution images.
