These models can create incredibly real-like images from text. All these amazing art generating AI are powered by a recent breed of generative AI algorithms called Diffusion Models. The basic idea of a Diffusion Model is a like an iterative denoising autoencoder which refines the image iteratively to finally arrive at a completely clean denoised image.
Diffusion Models build on principles from U-Net, Denoising AutoEncoder, DDPMs, and finally Latent Diffusion Models. The open-source Stable Diffusion is an LDM and produces super high quality images.
